Forts and Palaces with Taj
Duration- (9 night/10 days)
Day01 Welcome to India! On arrival meet and greet by our representative and you will be transferred to hotel. Arrive. Evening you will visit New & Old Delhi, in Old Delhi, Raj Ghat, Jama Masjid, and Red Fort. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day02: Delhi-Agra (6 hrs. by road)
This morning you will precede Mughal City Agra, en-route visit Sikandra, and check into your hotel. This afternoon visit the Agra fort, built by the great emperor Akbar; proceed to the Taj Mahal, built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz. This evening is at leisure for shopping and individual activities. Overnight stay at the hotel in Agra.
Day03: Agra-JaipurEarly in the morning you will be transferred to the charming Pink City of India. On arrival check in at your hotel. In the evening take a walking tour of the colorful streets and bazaars of Jaipur City. The beauty of Jaipur is that its unique architecture and town planning is visible at even the most common places such as its squares and lanes. Over night at Hotel.
Day04: JaipurTake a full day long sightseeing tour of Jaipur city that includes the City Palace, Jantar Mantar observatory, Hawa Mahal, Birla temple, Albert hall and excursion to the old capital Amber. Here at Amber, you'll ascend till the gates of majestic fort on elephant back. The fort displays a beautiful mix of Mughal and Rajput styles of architecture. Optional trip to ethnic village resort where you may enjoy traditional Rajasthan dinner. Over night at Hotel.
Day05: Jaipur-JodhpurMorning drive to Jodhpur. On arrival check in at your hotel and later visit to the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort (that reflects the city's glorious and troubled past), Jaswant Thada (the cenotaphs of the former rulers of Marwar) and Mandore (the ancient capital of the state of Marwar). Over night at Hotel.
Day06: Jodhpur- Jaisalmer In the morning drive to Jaisalmer, arrive Jaisalmer and proceed for SAM approx 35 kms. Outside Jaisalmer. Arrive at SAM at camel riding point. You will be provided camel ride till sunset point. After viewing the sunset proceed for Swiss tent by camel ride. Arrive Swiss tent and check-in. late evening enjoys folk dances, Rajasthani music, and campfire along with the dinner. Night stay in Jaisalmer.
Day07: Jaisalmer Morning proceed for Jaisalmer city. Arrive Jaisalmer and check-in at hotel. Later after proceed for city sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer visiting the burnished sandstone Jaisalmer, Throbbing in the heart of the Thar, is an intricately molded wonderland in place of a barren land, today stands a city of gilded magic. The origins of Jaisalmer go back to the 12th century, when Rawal Jaisal abandoned his old fort
at Ludarwa and laid the foundation of a new city. Visit the magnificent fort, the Patwon Ki Haveli (Mansion) and Salim Singh Ki Haveli, with their carved balconies and brackets, which are supreme examples of the art. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Jaisalmer.
Day07: Jaisalmer-Bikaner Early in the morning drive to Bikaner. On arrival, check in at your hotel. Later city sightseeing tour. Bikaner is named after its founder Rao Bikaji in 1488. But long before this, the city was trade center on the caravan routes from Africa and West Asia. Bikaner's dominant features are rippling sands and abundant sunshine. The city stands on an elevation, enclosed by a 7 Kms wall, which can be entered from 5 gate. Bikaner City is bolstered by imposing walls and has a 16th century fort housing old palaces, temples and mosque. Founded by Raja Rai Singh the fort is distinguished by its long range of 37 pavilions, a line of balconies and aerial windows of varying designs. Also visit Lallgarh Palace, the museum, Bhanda Sagar Jain and Deshnoke Rat temple. Overnight stay in Bikaner.
Day08: Bikaner - Mandawa In the morning drive to Mandawa, on arrival check in at your hotel. Later visit Mandawa, founded 1755 by Thakur Nawal Singh and still the home of his descendants, has beautiful frescoes, havelis and mansions. Mandawa castle one of the finest castles of Rajasthan, is now a hotel and house of collection of armories, costumes of ancestors, canons from 1820 ancient coins, numismatic collection and many other interesting items, preserved in a museum. Overnight stay in Mandawa.
Day09: Mandawa-Delhi
After breakfast drive for Delhi & check in at Hotel & Move out for city tour of New Delhi, this includes visits to the Qutab Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, India Gate, President’s House, Parliament House and Connaught Place (Delhi’s shopping hub). Overnight stay at the hotel in Delhi.
Day 10:
Transfer to airport or railway station for your onward journey.
